Jim is a founding partner of Greene Reid & Pomeroy and serves of counsel to the Firm. Jim and Arthur M. Greene established the firm in 1982 and quickly developed a reputation for excellence in the representation of injured individuals. Over the course of a highly distinguished career, he has tried many cases, both civil and criminal, across New York State.

Jim is a graduate of Utica College, where he served as a member of the Board of Trustees and Investment Committee for nine years, and Syracuse University College of Law, where he was an Adjunct Professor of Advanced Trial Practice for over 25 years.

In addition to his active private legal practice, Jim served the people of the State of New York as an Assistant District Attorney for Wayne County for over two decades. He continues to be a sought-after mediator and arbitrator and is the President of his own mediation company, Advocate’s Forum, Inc.

In his spare time, Jim enjoys weight training, running, cooking, flying and scuba diving. He is currently a Dive Control Specialist Diver, certified by Scuba School International (SSI).
